Wholesale Fabric Purchasing — Minimum Order, Stock & Delivery
At Jydsk Stoflager, there is one minimum order for all fabric types: 10 meters per order. Delivery occurs within 1–3 business days across Europe — primarily Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the Baltic countries. All fabrics are stocked and ready for dispatch the same day you order. This framework ensures wholesale fabric purchasing that doesn’t waste your time with long lead times or uncertain stock status.
Minimum Order — What Does 10 Meters Mean in Practice?
10 meters is the minimum threshold regardless of fabric type. This applies to both jersey fabric with exclusive digital prints, solid colour cotton jersey, and rib knit fabric for rib cuffs and sleeve finishes. There are no exceptions based on price or width.
For a clothing manufacturer with ongoing production, 10 meters is rarely a binding minimum — it is more of a starting point. But for a fabric shop wanting to test a new design before ordering a larger quantity, it is useful to know exactly where the limit lies. You can order 10 meters of one design and 25 meters of another in the same order — each line is calculated individually.
Our jersey fabric range is typically 160 cm wide (220 g/m², 95% cotton + 5% lycra), meaning that with 10 meters you get 1.6 square meters per running meter — a total of 16 m². This is enough to assess colourfastness, elasticity, and drape before scaling up.
Stocked Fabrics — What It Really Means for Your Production
Stocked fabrics are not just a sales argument. It is a concrete difference in your planning. When a fabric is in stock, you can receive it within 1–3 business days and start cutting immediately. You don’t wait for production, customs clearance from third countries, or a supplier’s next production run.
At Jydsk Stoflager, all fabrics — digital print jersey, solid colour jersey, rib jersey, bamboo jersey, and french terry — are stocked. This allows you to work with shorter purchasing horizons and respond faster to demand from your own customers.
For fabric shops, this also means you can replenish popular designs without long wait times. If you see a design selling quickly, you can reorder and have the fabric back on your shelves within the week.
Consistent Colour Reproduction from Roll to Roll
One practical challenge with digital print is variation between production runs. Colour tones can shift, patterns can misalign, and design details may look different from roll to roll — this is a known industry fact.
Our digital prints are AI-designed and then manually refined in Photoshop by our own team. This gives us control over the output, and we actively work with colour management to ensure consistent colour reproduction from order to order. For you as a clothing manufacturer, this means that a top piece and a bottom piece cut from two different rolls still match — which is crucial when placing products on shelves or shipping to your customers.
The designs are exclusive to Jydsk Stoflager. You won’t find them with other suppliers anywhere in Europe. This gives your customers something competitors cannot directly copy.
Certifications — GOTS and Oeko-Tex 100
The majority of our digital print cotton jersey is GOTS certified. The other fabrics — including rib jersey and bamboo jersey — are Oeko-Tex 100 certified. Here is an overview of the certifications for the primary fabric types:
- Cotton jersey, digital print (220 g/m², 160 cm): 95% cotton + 5% lycra — GOTS (most designs) / Oeko-Tex 100
- Cotton jersey, digital print (200 g/m², 150 cm): 95% cotton + 5% lycra — GOTS / Oeko-Tex 100
- Rib jersey (240 g/m², 35–45 cm, tubular knit): 95% cotton + 5% lycra — Oeko-Tex 100
- Bamboo jersey (230 g/m², 150 cm): 95% bamboo + 5% lycra — Oeko-Tex 100
- French terry, brushed (235–240 g/m², 160 cm): 95% cotton + 5% lycra
If your business works with GOTS requirements — either from your own customers or as part of your brand strategy — it is important to check the certification status of the specific design you order. We can always confirm this for a particular design before you place an order.
Delivery Across Europe — What to Expect
We deliver throughout Europe, but our primary market is Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Delivery time is 1–3 business days from Ikast — the heart of the Danish textile industry — to your address. This applies when you order stocked fabrics ready for dispatch.
For buyers coordinating deliveries to fixed production cycles, it is advantageous to know the exact delivery time in advance. You can plan your cutting schedule and production based on a predictable receipt date — rather than working with loose estimates.
We recommend ordering early in the week if you have a tight deadline. Orders placed on Monday and Tuesday have the best chance for delivery before the end of the week, depending on your location.
Practical Tips for Your Next Wholesale Fabric Purchase
Whether you are a clothing manufacturer, fabric shop, or brand owner, there are some simple guidelines to make your purchasing more efficient:
- Order in time: Stock status can change on popular designs. If you know you will need a specific fabric within the next two months, it is better to order now than to wait.
- Check certification requirements beforehand: If you sell to customers with specific GOTS or Oeko-Tex 100 requirements, clarify this before ordering — not after.
- Combine fabric types in the same order: You can easily order jersey fabric and rib jersey in the same shipment. This saves shipping costs and gives you a complete material base for a collection.
- Note roll numbers on incoming goods: Even with consistent colour reproduction, it is good practice to note roll numbers if you cut across rolls in the same production.
- Test new designs with 10 meters: The minimum order is deliberately set low so you can evaluate a new design in your own production or store before committing to larger quantities.
