The teddy bear motif sits on a light ecru base, creating a neutral, easy-to-sell look in the fabric shop. As rib jersey fabrics by the metre, this quality has more structure and better coverage than many single jersey knit prints, and the rib provides a close and stable surface.

The quality is often used for bodysuits, leggings, tops and all-in-ones where an elastic fit is needed. The rib structure also makes it relevant for baby and childrenswear ranges, because garments get good freedom of movement without feeling heavy.

A practical advantage of rib jersey fabric is that the rib works with stretch in both length and width. The small share of elastane helps maintain the shape so the garment stays neat from wash to wash. Many buyers use printed rib jersey as an alternative to smooth jersey when customers ask for more “body” in the material.

The Fabric News category makes it easy to front-load new arrivals during the season and test motifs in smaller series. Smaller manufacturers often order rib jersey in 10 m for capsule drops, while fabric shops top up when the print gains traction on the shelf. The goods are packed from stock in Ikast, so you can reorder at short notice.

Wash at 30 degrees and preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve rib structure and stretch performance.
