Dark Grey merino wool jersey is rib knit jersey in 100% merino wool, approx. 165 cm wide.

Specifications:

– Material: 100% merino wool (see exact composition in the specification table)

– Width: 165 cm

– Stretch: 4-way

– Construction: Rib knit jersey (1×1 rib)

– Colour: Dark Grey

Dark Grey gives a more subdued look than black and works as a strong staple in many collections. The 1×1 rib makes the material elastic and suitable when you sew garments that need to fit close without feeling tight, for example undershirts, long-sleeve tops, rib dresses and lightweight trousers with an elastic fit.

The practical benefit of rib knit merino wool is the combination of mobility and stability. The ribs work across the width and recover, so the garment keeps its shape in wear. Many retailers ask: What does 1×1 rib mean? It means the rib alternates one knit and one purl stitch, creating an even rib structure and consistent stretch.

From a B2B perspective, this colour is often chosen as a standard stock item because it matches many prints and solid colours, and because the shade typically appears consistent from roll to roll. As a wholesale fabric supplier in Denmark, we prioritise stable deliveries for shops and small producers who do not want to depend on buying wholesale fabric from Germany for reorders.

Wash on a 30-degree wool cycle with a gentle wool detergent. Avoid tumble drying. Dry flat.

Pair it with staple qualities from Solid colour jersey if you are building a calm colour card for year-round ranges.
