Stout is a tightly woven canvas fabric in 100% cotton, 150-155 g/m² and 160 cm wide.

Specifications: Raw stout fabric is often used for test sewing, toile, reinforcements and simple items where you want a stable base. The quality is also used in bag production, internal parts and as protective fabric in packaging. Many search for stout fabric roll, because the 160 cm width provides good cutting efficiency and effective metre-goods economy.

The weight of 150-155 g/m² provides a light to medium-weight cotton base that holds its shape without being too heavy. The unbleached, raw surface gives a neutral, natural look that works well for subsequent dyeing, printing and production marking. The search phrase what is stout fabric is often about exactly this: a simple, woven cotton canvas used as a standard material when you want to plan and repeat the same process.

Fabric shops and smaller clothing manufacturers order stout fabric as a standard stock item for ongoing order flow. Consistent weight and width from roll to roll makes it easier to calculate consumption and maintain the same result across batches.

Wash at 40 degrees. Pre-washing is recommended, as raw cotton can shrink. Avoid tumble drying for more stability.

Combine with other canvas qualities under Stout if you want more variants within the same product group.

Order from 10m – delivery 1–3 business days in Scandinavia
