The warm red melange tone stands out without becoming loud – the colour is consistent from roll to roll with no visible colour shifts. Used for ribbing and necklines on sweatshirts and hoodies, sleeve finishes on jackets and activewear, hem bands on bodysuits, cuffs on childrenswear and casualwear for adults, and as a visual accent rib trim on dark jersey fabric bases in black, navy and dark grey.

A red rib edge creates instant visual accent – strongest on dark jersey fabric bases. The melange structure softens the colour by one tone and creates a more sophisticated look than solid red ribbing. The tubular construction works directly as a cuff when cut to the desired width without additional edge seaming. The ribbing is breathable and suitable for activewear and sports jackets with visible rib detailing.

Clothing manufacturers, fabric shops and hobby sewists choose Red Melange when the rib trim colour needs to be visible and add visual interest to the design. The rib knit is Oeko-Tex 100 certified and shipped as a stocked item from Ikast. Ready to dispatch the same business day when ordered before 12:00 – delivery across Scandinavia within 1–3 business days.

Wash at 30°C, inside out. Avoid tumble drying – the depth of the red melange is best preserved by line drying. Iron inside out at medium heat.

Combine with solid colour jersey in black, white or navy – or use as a contrast element from the rib range.
