Pastel lilac in rib is often used for rib cuffs, necklines and sleeve finishes on baby and childrenswear, where you want to hit a calm colour line. The colour also works for details on tops and lightweight sweatshirts when the edge should give a clean finishing look.

The rib structure provides a dense surface and good recovery. This makes the rib suitable when you want an edge that draws in neatly and stays in place during wear. The quality contributes to a stable finish so garments keep their shape better from wash to wash.

Fabric shops often bring in pastel shades as a supplement to basic colours because they can be sold both in solid colour series and together with prints. Manufacturers typically order rib at the same time as the fabric, so the colours match within the same production.

Wash at 30 degrees with the fabric turned inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity.

Use the rib together with solid colour qualities from Solid colour jersey or choose matching fabric in Cotton jersey.
