This rib is often used for rib cuffs, necklines and sleeve finishes on sweatshirts, bodysuits and tops, where the edge needs to stretch while still holding its shape. Lilac also works well as a colour pop on childrenswear and as a match for prints when you want a clear but controlled accent.

Tubular rib knit provides a dense, elastic structure. The tubular width makes it easy to cut with uniform elasticity, so edges perform consistently in wear and hold up from wash to wash. This helps reduce complaints about finishes when garments are used actively.

Fabric shops and smaller manufacturers typically choose this rib as a permanent stock colour because it is easy to reorder and works across seasons. The colour is stable from roll to roll, so you can top up continuously without visible shifts in finished runs.

Wash at 30°C, preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity and measurements.

Combine with solid colour basics from Solid colour jersey for a calm look, or use the rib as a contrast colour.
