Cotton – pink tie-dye with leaf embroidery is a woven broderie anglaise in 100% cotton, 160 g/m² and 130 cm wide.

Specifications: The tie-dye look combined with leaf embroidery creates a distinctive texture that stands out on the fabric by the metre. Broderie anglaise has small cut-outs and embroidered areas, giving you a decorative look without adding extra details to the design.

This quality is often used for dresses, blouses, skirts and lightweight shirts, where the embroidery can be the visual focus. Many buyers also bring anglaise into childrenswear, e.g. airy dresses and tunics, because the woven cotton is lightweight and comfortable to work with in collections.

Angle on cover and build: The embroidery gives the fabric more “body” than a completely smooth woven canvas, while the weight still remains on the lighter side. Consider a lining or slip if you want to reduce transparency in finished garments.

Fabric shops use broderie anglaise as a seasonal item that creates eye-catching displays and supports add-on sales for lining and ribbons. Producers choose it for capsule drops, where a strong look needs to carry a simple cut line.

Wash at 30 degrees, preferably inside out to protect the embroidery. Avoid tumble drying. Press on low to medium heat, and avoid pulling on embroidered areas.

See more woven fabrics by the metre for fashion in Fashion fabric and complement core lines with Cotton canvas.

Order from 10m – delivery 1-3 business days in Scandinavia
