Rib – Sand 2 is tubular rib jersey in 95% cotton and 5% lycra, 230 g/m² and 35–45 cm wide.

– Weight: 230 g/m²

– Width: 35–45 cm

– Stretch: Good stretch

The Sand 2 shade sits at the light, calm end of the scale and works as a base for many collections. Tubular rib is often used for ribbing, necklines and sleeve cuffs on sweatshirts, bodysuits and blouses, where you want an edge that can stretch and recover neatly.

The rib structure creates a clear direction and a more compact surface than standard jersey. This makes the material suitable when you want finishes that hold their shape and continue to look consistent in use.

The question “what is tubular rib” often comes from buyers. Tubular means the rib is produced as a tube, which typically provides an even structure and stability in the fabric by the metre.

Rib is mainly ordered by fabric shops and smaller clothing manufacturers who want to match ribbing to solid colour qualities in fixed colours. A neutral sand tone is easy to plan for purchasing because it can be used across seasons.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve stretch and shape.

Pair with Solid colour jersey or see more options in Rib.
