The kitten motif is a staple in printed fabric for kids because the characters read quickly and work across many colour combinations. The quality is often used for sweatshirts, trousers, dresses and tops, and it is also suitable for cardigans and lightweight rompers when you want a flexible but more opaque option than printed cotton jersey.

235 g/m² provides good coverage and a base that does not feel thin. This is especially helpful when sewing darker colours and you want to avoid undertones showing through. The french terry construction has loops on the reverse for a comfortable inside, and 4-way stretch keeps garments flexible in wear.

Many ask: What should you look for in printed fabric for kids? Look for a stable base and a print that is even. Here, the print is consistent and is not affected by stretch, which creates a calm look in the finished styles.

Fabric shops often stock this type of digital print fabric as part of themed series, while smaller producers use it for short runs where they still want consistent quality when reordering. This makes range planning and repeat orders more predictable.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying.

Combine with Rib jersey for rib edges at necklines and sleeve finishes.
