Ecru is a light, calm basic colour that works well in collections with natural tones, pastels and muted contrasts. Viscose jersey is often used for dresses, tops, T-shirts and skirts where the garment needs a soft drape and good freedom of movement. This quality is especially suited to womenswear collections, lightweight core ranges and styles with draping.

The viscose fibre provides a smooth hand feel and a more fluid look than cotton jersey. The lycra content adds elasticity, helping garments keep their shape better in wear. The single jersey knit construction makes the fabric flexible and suitable for designs where the material needs to follow movement without feeling heavy.

The ecru colour is a strong choice for fabric shops and smaller clothing producers wanting a neutral base colour in a lightweight viscose jersey. It can be used on its own in a minimalist range or combined with prints and darker shades. Consistent width from roll to roll makes it easier to plan usage in production and when reordering.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying, as heat can affect stretch and shape stability. Let the fabric dry hanging or flat depending on the finished garment.

Combine with basic colours from our solid colour jersey when you want to build a calm colour scale for shop or production.
