This fabric is used for swimsuits, swim trunks, rash guards, and tight-fitting sportswear. Black is the most used color in swimwear production — timeless, provides excellent coverage, and requires no color matching in production. Black polyester swim fabric retains its color even after many washes and repeated exposure to chlorinated water.

Black polyester offers good opacity and firm handling suitable for garments that must maintain shape during active use. The material is not transparent, even when wet — a crucial quality for swimwear. It dries quickly and is easy to care for.
